Still truckin'...

We have really fallen off the blog-updating wagon lately! This bump picture is actually from April 4th...back in week 31...so add some more roundness to that. We are now cruising through week 33. A lot is going on right now for us. Between trying to sell our house, trying to find a house in Madison, and preparing for Little Bear...there's a lot going on. But they're all good/exciting things and we know that in the end it will all work out fine. Those moments of panic and anxiety in the interim are annoying, though!
What's new with Little Bear? Well, at least daily hiccup parties are happening now. Lots of movement is happening and we can see big adjustments on the outside of my belly...and through clothes! The baby is most predictably active when I lay down for bed and in the morning and often after I eat.
At our last visit with the midwife she confirmed that Little Bear's head is pointed down and should stay in that position for the duration now. Phew...that's a big relief! We are preparing all of the things needed for our home birth.
Both grandmas have been out to visit in the last few weeks. They are so excited about the arrival of this little bundle! It will be fun to see everyone in Grandma and Grandpa mode soon. And our brothers in new Uncle mode too!
Little Bear has been showered with love recently. While I was home around Easter there were three lovely baby showers planned. One with the LaCharite/Throneburg families and close family friends, one with my past co-workers at St. Mary's, and one with college friends in Chicago. I felt so loved and spoiled by all of these amazing celebrations. I will try to post some pictures and hopefully other folks with photos will share them too! Thank you to everyone for helping us prepare for this exciting new adventure. It means so much to us...
